The fun of Summer

The fun of Summer eating powder donuts and drinking punch.. My little man has it all over his face, he had to take a break from playing, so I told him to find another place other than my kitchen floor. Once seeing what he looked like, I had to have picture of it.

The summer is flying by, we went to Pigeon Forge for a weekend in July, he loved the rides and the pool. He hates hot water in the tub for a bath but he had to get in the hot tub at the Hotel. He didn't stay long but he had to get in the bubbles just to see how it was.

Richie is working shift work and I have been lazy this summer, having breathing problems with the heat, my Lung collapsed after vacation and I cannot seem to get my energy back. Exercise is what I need but I don't have the get up I need, really getting sick of being sick if you know what I mean...

Well time to cook something not sure what, until next time. Hope you enjoy the weekend..

4TH OF JULY WEEK

It is the 4th of July week, I am on vacation but it is so hot that you cannot enjoy it unless you are in the pool or inside in the cool.

We went to Pigeon Forge on the 2nd and spent the night, it was fun, my little man wanted to swim the whole time, but as much as he laughed it was well worth it. We shopped and went to a a amusement park, he rode the rides and drove the go carts.

Today is Thursday and it is flying by... I want to do some sewing so I need to get the lead out and do a few things, because Monday will be here before you know it. I have been going on long walks in the mornings before the heat gets so bad.

Hope everyone is enjoying the week if you are off, Church tonight and the evenings to myself, my hubbie is on 3-11 this week. I am getting plenty of rest, that I wanted so bad the week before we left work. Everyone needs a break so you can re-group.

Church with my Hubbie today

Well, my little man was in a Church program, so I had to go see him say his part.. He has told us the part all weekend " God loves a Cheerful giver" 2 Corinthians 9:7b. The pastor was asking in order what the children's verses were but before he got to Shane he started something new and he never said his part, then they sang a song.. It was good because it is always fun to watch the children in Church.

It is a raining day so we ate lunch and then went for a ride in the country, of course I forgot my camera and we have a waterfalls on Southriver that was beautiful but it is memory only at this point..

Well Richie is watching the race and I guess I will get into something creative, not sure what but I cannot sit still..

The Sunset

I just love the sunset in the evenings.. this was yesterday

It is raining today and we are very busy at work, it will calm down in another few weeks. It will soon be warm and all the spring flowers will be blooming. My favorite time of the year...

Well, I am going to get dinner finished and relax, my brain feels like it is over flowing. I cannot think no more today.

Thank you for the Weekends

I am so glad it is the weekend finally.. This week was so long and we were so busy at work.
I got my little man to spend the night last night, we ate early and watched a movie, he went to sleep about 9:00 and slept until 7:30 this morning, not a bad nights sleep..

Cleaning house today, it is cold out and it will be nice not to have plans, just play it by ear. May do some knitting or sewing later, I really do not have a big stash of material saved yet but I am working on it. I look at things different now that I have my sewing machine, I do not always get rid of clothes that I can use for squares now. I love things that do not match and colorful. I get e-mails on different blogs with fabric sales, that is nice to see. You can get good deals.

Well it is 9:15 and I need to get to it now because after lunch it will be time for my fun things.

Ready for the Lake and Springtime

I am ready to get the boat in the water and fish, get a little sun and enjoy the warm weather. I am tired of the cold and mud in my yard and I might add, on my car. It does not matter how much you wash your car, it either rains or snows so they put the salt on the roads..

Well getting a late start this afternoon, hope everyone has a peaceful night, my husband is hungry and I am going to bed early tonight..

Joan's Quilt

Here is a picture of Joan's Quilt. I have it laying in the floor, pinning the backing on it. The squares are smaller than we usually make.

The weekend is over, back to work tomorrow... where did it go. Hope this week I do not feel so tired. We went out of town to get a bedliner Saturday morning for my husband's truck, I went to the grocery store and then we went to my step-son's house, he got a bing bong table...Everyone is feeling it today. We are not spring chickens no more. LOL

I went to Church today, came home fixed a sandwich for lunch then went to my sister-in-laws for about a hour, came back home to chill out.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week, I would say I will not touch my computer when I get home again this week but it might happen, who knows.

The Weekend

Whoo Hoo, the weekend is here. It is suppose to snow this weekend, you never know if it will amount to anything or not. This is a picture from last year, my little man loves outside. His shovel is almost to big to carry...









What a week at work, very busy, I am so glad to be home. I wanted Chicken and pineapple but I forgot I was out of pineapple, so it is chicken and a veggie. I do not want to go back out tonight for pineapple but I will still give you the recipe:

Chicken
1 tbsp oil
Pineapple chunks
Soy sauce
1 medium onion
1 green pepper
Brown or White Rice

Cook Chicken then cut it in bite size pieces, set to the side, then cook green pepper and onions in the oil until done, put pineapple chunks and chicken back in the pan for about 5 to10 minutes. Put over Rice and add soy sauce to taste.

The New Year

You always try to start the New Year out right for about 30 to 60 days. You try to eat right, exercise, save money. You always mean well.

Trying to get back in the groove after getting long weekends has always been hard for me. I always seem more tired with more time off. I think the more you move, the better you feel....

Dinner is over, I am going to read my Bible, maybe watch some TV until I get sleepy and try to sleep tonight, all night... something I have a hard time with. I would love to sleep all night and late on a Saturday morning, my eyes spring open at 6:00 on the weekends too. I seem to keep the same schedule 7 days a week.

I still have some work to do on my quilt, then I want to take a picture of it, so everyone can see it. Well, not everyone, just my two followers, so far.
